Part-of-Speech Tagging
Part-of-Speech Tagging, or POS-Tagging, is the task of classifying the words of a text according to their lexical categories, considering their context. Nouns, verbs, and adjectives are some examples of broad lexical categories, but they are usually more precisely defined. POS-tagging can be used, for example, to design features for document classification, by computing the frequency of each POS tag on each document.
